Why snag a new build property?
The purpose of a snagging report is to provide an independent, unbiased inspection of your new property and to find any potential faults that may be hidden by the developer. Contact Us
What does our snagging inspection include?
All aspects of the building work will be inspected – From the brick work to the roof
Walls and Floors – We will check for durability, stability and leveling issues across your home
Electrical Testing – We will test the connectivity of all electrical components
Plaster and Paintwork –We will test the walls for bleeding, blistering, cissing, flaking and chalking
When is best time to get my new build inspected?
Ideally the best time to arrange a snagging inspection is between contract exchange and pre-completion which most developers are happy to comply with.
An independent snagging survey can of course still be carried out post-completion providing the necessary builder’s warranty is in place.
When will I receive my report?
You will receive your report within 1-3 working days and a report will also be sent to your developer.

The NEW home with 700 faults: Family hit ‘breaking point’ after series of problems with their £280,000 four-bedroom house leaves them ‘living in a building site’
“Moving into a new-build property should mean taking possession of a ready-made home without the need to so much as pick up a paintbrush. But what if the inside of the property is not as flawless as you expected?… it is really important to “snag” the property before you transfer funds”.
The potential pitfalls with new-build developments are numerous.. you can never know exactly how the property will turn out.
“Most problems with new-build homes are cosmetic and easily fixed. For that reason, a traditional survey is likely to be a little excessive – and this is where snagging surveys come in…
Superb Service
Very happy with the inspection and report. Gavin found many snags and had the report sent to me the next day. The report helped me in my negotiations with the developer.
